Mission Statement from our Founders:

Several years ago, we were introduced to a little-known process called reglazing. Our family had a rental property that housed a pink bathtub and we were considering a replacement. It was during our search that we came across a company in a not so nearby town, who made claims that they could make the tub "like new" without removal, high cost, or the grime associated with removal and replacement of a porcelain over cast iron bathtub. They were also against retiring the old bathtub to a landfill. The company offered a 3-year warranty. The tub looked great...for about two months, that’s when a renter poured drain cleaner in the tub ruining the finish. Our parents called the company, but as suspected, they were quickly informed that the warranty did not cover that damage. RATS! Being a seasoned college and trade school graduate, EPA certified, and working as an electrician’s apprentice, I wondered if there was anything better out there.

After weeks of internet searching, we settled on a process introduced by a manufacturer of reglazing products right here in the USA. They invited us to come to test the product, apply the product, and learn all of its applications. After traveling to their facility, we were sold on tub refinishing. They took two days to train us and to prove that this was the best product available. They showed us their laboratory where the product was heated, cooled, and run through rigorous testing to simulate what it would go through in home and industrial settings.

All of the equipment and supplies needed for 100 bathtubs were purchased that day. The next day a retired cable TV van was purchased, and an ad was run in the local newspaper. Armorkote Refinishing was born. I personally do over 14 bathtubs a week plus tile, countertops, etc.
We extend to our customers a limited 10 YEAR WARRANTY that can easily be scheduled right online. A date can be secured after depositing a small safety fee.. Over the years, Armorkote has employed technicians and office employees from our local community as well. It is our wish, that as a family business, we service our area with the highest quality workmanship and products.
